Feel-good holidays in harmony with nature
Kuno Mahlknecht and his wife Dorothea Reiterer Mahlknecht have been running the Waldhof with an abundance of passion and warm hospitality since 1988. Their commitment and innovative spirit have made the Waldhof what it is today - a place to relax, unwind and be thoroughly indulged.
Kuno Mahlknecht inherited the Waldhof from his uncle Ivo Mahlknecht and the hotel has been his life ever since. His wife also dedicates herself with great zeal to the guests of the Waldhof. She finds a balance to her demanding work in the mountains of South Tyrol, but also in mountain ranges around the world such as in Nepal or South America. The hostess speaks about her source of strength and inspiration in the book "Über den Berg ... mein Weg zum Glück“ [Crossing the mountains on my way to happiness].
The Mahlknecht couple's son, Stefan, is a devoted photographer. He has a passion for capturing the beauty of his South Tyrolean home on paper. He likes to give tips for perfect (mountain) photos to the guests of the Waldhof and shows them his most beautiful photo spots as well as wonderful places across the region.
The informal cordiality at the Waldhof combined with the South Tyrolean zest for life ensures a particularly relaxing feel-good atmosphere, which will turn every day of holiday into a very special experience for everyone.
