Mountaineering in South Tyrol
We South Tyroleans are truly fortunate. Everywhere you turn, there are towering mountains. While they’re magnificent to behold from a comfortable deckchair, if you’ve never ventured to climb them yourself, you’re missing out on an awe-inspiring natural experience that will stay with you forever. The options are vast and cater to every type of mountaineer. How about a tour in the Texel Group Nature Park, surrounded by 3000-metre peaks? Does that sound tempting? Rock climbing in South Tyrol
Experience the raw power of the mountains up close. With courage and stamina, you can conquer the rugged cliffs. While climbing in South Tyrol isn’t a necessity, it’s an incredibly fulfilling pursuit. With adrenaline coursing through your veins, you can tackle the awe-inspiring Dolomites themselves. Alternatively, visit one of the numerous climbing parks or indoor halls and ascend to new heights. Anything is possible – you just need the desire. A climbing paradise awaits!
Cyclists are given a warm welcome in South Tyrol, and it’s no wonder; the countless cycling routes that meander through the countryside offer tours that could fill a lifetime. Whether you’re a leisure cyclist or a professional, you’ll find plenty of trails here to suit your preferences, from flat cycle paths and gently ascending forest trails to thrilling single tracks. At the Waldhof², you can borrow a mountain bike for free or hire one of the four available e-mountain bikes for a small fee of €30. Alternatively, you can bring your own bike and store it in our garage.
While the Waldhof² isn’t exclusively a golf hotel, it’s a founding member of Lana Gutshof Brandis Golf Club. This affiliation means our guests enjoy special benefits, including a 20% discount on green fees, guaranteed tee times and a 10% discount on all courses (excluding private lessons). Lana Golf Club boasts 9 holes (par 36) over a distance of 3,001 metres, along with a driving range, putting green and pitching and chipping area.

The golf card
The Golfcard Südtirol offers exclusive discounts to guests of partner hotels affiliated with “Golf in Südtirol”. Cardholders receive a 20% discount on the standard green fee (18 holes), applicable when settling payment at the golf club. This discount cannot be combined with other offers. The advantage card is non-transferable and allows guests to enjoy reduced green fees on up to four rounds of golf. Whether you bring your own tennis racquet or not, we’ve got you covered at the Waldhof². Racquets and balls are available for hire. Our exclusive, joint-friendly artificial grass tennis court, filled with quartz sand, is reserved solely for our guests, and its use is complimentary. You can book the court for your next tennis match at reception.
